Dear Administrative Judges:
Enclosed are amended certificates of service for the "NRC Staff's Motion for Directed Certification" and " Notice of Appeal and List of Exceptions to the Licensing Board Memorandum and Order of July 1,1983," dated July 8, 1983. The certificates, which were prepared in anticipation of a July 8 filing, are incorrect in that they indicate two parties were served by express mail on July 8.
Because the pleading was not ready in time for the July 8 express mail deadline, the two parties were served by express mail on the following day, July 9.
Also enclosed is an amended page 15 of the motion for directed certification.
Therein, the last sentence of n.20 is modified to reflect that the Licensing Board in Zimmer has not yet acted on the Intervenor's motion to reopen the record in that case. At the time of the filing of the Staff's Motion for Directed Certification, the Staff had been misinformed about the disposition of the Intervenor's motion to reopen in Zimmer.
