This specificatien delincates the requirc=cnts of electrically actuated Pilot Operated relief valves and covers the Parniching and delivel/ of such valves that are described in detail en the Equipment Specification Shect:.

2. O RESEICE DCC'J'CITS 2.1 The valves are to be designed, fabricated, in=pceted and tested in accordance with the applicabic secticn of the codes and standard listed in Appendin A, as well as with the special requirement: Otated 3

5.0 E SPECTION REQUntE C.*.'S The appended valve data chects give a classification for each item.

5.1 The inspection require =ents for each cla :ificatien are as follous:

Cla:s I Each item classified as Cla:s I sha1 =eet the requirements of Section A of AS'S Code for Pu.:ps and Valves for nuclear i

Class II Each item classified as Class II shall meet the require =ents of Section 3 of AS E Code for Pu=ps & Valves for Uuclear Power.

I Class III Each iten classified as Class III shall meet the require =ents of Section C of ASIE Code for Pu=p: &' Valves for Nuclear Power.

o 6.0 TESTI:G RECUIRE'CCS 6.1 All valves chall be given hydrostatic shell pressure tests as required in the latest edition of the ccde' (USAS D16.5). Valves shan shou no icakage or per=anent deformation at ar./ point.

6. 2 D-%cralized water chall be used as the hydrotest media. The chloride content of this water : hall not exceed 1 ppm.

6.3 All valve: chall be given cet pressure test:. Eac~t valve shall lift three successive ti=ce within ! 1% of the set pressure. The valve shall exhibit blewdorn within 2% of the nxi=um set pre: ure at cach lift. The valve shall be permitted to cool at least five minute:

8. 2 Vendor shall describe the valve test stand and testing procedure to be used to accc=plish testing described in Section 6.0 above.

8.3 Vendor shall describe the flange to be supplied and shall reco=end suitpble caskets for the service.

9. 0 CCUTRAC:' DATA REOUIRED 9.1 Prior to release of the Vendor for ship =cnt, the Vendor shall notiff BE in adequate time of dates of the testing required by Section 6.

In addition, certified test results shall be submitted for approval.
