Dear Administrative Judges Kelley,
Bright, and Carpenter:
At page 10 of your March 10, 1983, Memorandum and Order (Re-l flecting Decisions Made Following Second Prehearing. Conference),
(
you indicated that a date some time in June was likely for another prehearing conference.
In light of that and the s cheduling of i
other matters to which I must attend, I made vacation plans for the week of July 16 - 23, 1983.
In your Memorandum and Order of May 27, 1983, you now indicate that the prehearing conference is scheduled for July 20 - 21, 1983.
This letter is to inform you that I will not be able to attend 1
that prehearing conference.
I do not think this should present any serious problems as Kudzu Alliance is only a party to Joint Contentions and has filed no new contentions as a result of the DES, Prior to the scheduled prehearing conference, I will consult with representa-i tives of the other Joint Intervenors and will trust them to present l
Kudzu's views on the issues raised at that hearing.
If at all pos-i sible, it would be helpful if you could circulate a tentative agenda or rough list of the topics to be discussed at the conference so that I could more effectively provide my input through the representatives of the other Joint Intervenors.
I wish to make it clear that Kudzu Alliance is in no way waiving i
its status as a separate party to this proceeding by my inability to
.B attend this conference.
The problem results from my reliance o6 the 8307050195 830627 PDR ADOCK 05000400 x%
