This refers to the routine safety insrectibn conducted by Mr. W. P. Ang
of the Region'II office on 1.pril 27-23; 1933, of activities at Byron
Station Unit 1 authorized by License fio. CPPR-130 and to the discussion
of our findings with R. E. Querio and others of your staff at the con-
clusion of the inspection.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined
during the inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of
a selective examination of procedures and representative records, obser-
vations, and interviews with. personnel.

No items of noncompliance with NRC requirements were identified during the
cocrse of this inspection.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy
of this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the

NRC's Public Document Room. _If this report contains any infomation
that you (or your contractors) believe to be exempt from disclosure under
10 CFR 9.5(a)(4), it is necessary that you (a) notify this office by
telephone within ten (10) days frm the date of this letter of your intention

to flie a request for withholdirg; and (b) submit within twenty-five (25)
days from the date of this letter a written application to this office
to withhold such information,
If your receipt tf this letter has been
-delayed such that less than sevan (7) ' days are available for your review,
