Dear Mr. Cahill:
This is in response to the Gulf States Utilities Company letters of March 7,1983 and April 10, 1981 regarding the Emergency Operations Facility (EOF) and backup EOF for the River Bend Station, Units 1 and 2.
The letter states that the EOF is to be located 1.1 miles from the plant and the backup EOF is to be located at the Gulf States Utilities Baton Rouge Division Dispatch Office, approximately 23 miles from the plant.
This letter is to advise you that the Commission finds acceptable your position with regard to the location of your EOF and backup EOF. This approval applies only to the location of these facilities. The other features of these facilities and the features of all the River Bend Emergency Response Facilities (ERFs) will be evaluated during our-post implementation appraisal to be conducted at the plant when all the ERFs are completed.
