Enclosed is a copy of the Draft Task Action Plan, Revision 2 for Task A-45, Shutdown Decay Heat Removal Requirements. You will recall Mr. An$ Marchese, the Manager for Task A-45, discussed this effort on April 6,1983 at the meeting of the utility Steering Committee for the EPRI Standardized LWR Plant Design Evaluation Program and the NRC Policy Committee, held in Mr. Harold Denton's cor.ference room.

I am also including a copy of a paper delivered by Mr. Marchese on the same subject before the Swiss Federal Institute for Reactor Research, Wuren11ngen, Switzerland, in late April 1983. This -latter document is a more concise summary thus allowing the Draft Task Action Plan to be used as a detailed reference.
