Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted under the Resident Inspection Program
by Messrs. M. W. Dickerson and G. L. Plumlee III, of this office during the
period April 1-30, 1983, of activities authorized by NRC Operating
License DPR-34 for Fort St. Vrain, and to the discussion of our findings
with D. W. Warembourg, and other members of your staff at the conclusion
of the inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection included Operational Safety Verification;
Surveillance; Maintenance; Bulletin Followup; Follow Up of Previous Inspection
Findings; and Review of Periodic and Special Reports. Within these areas,
the inspect 6en consisted of selective examination of procedures and repre-
sentative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the
inspectors. These findings are documented in the enclosed inspection report.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were
identified.
We have also examined actions you have taken with regard to previously
identified inspection findings. The status of these items is identified
in paragraph 2 of the enclosed report.
Inaccordancewith10CFR2.790(a),acopyofthisletterandtheenclosure
will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room unless you notify this office,
by telephone, within 10 days of the date of this letter, and submit written
application to withhold information contained therein within 30 days of the
date of this letter. Such application must be consistent with the requirements
of2.790(b)(1).
