NRC Region III has been involved in a substantive review of the documentation of the qualifications of the active welders associated with the Wm. H. Zimmer plant during the July - November 1982 timeframe. Additional information is required concerning the times required to recertify certain welders during the special welder's qualification program during that period.
It is our understanding that you will provide a detailed accounting of the times for each individual welder, listed by " stamp" in the enclosure, during the completion of the special welder's qualification program for the periods specified noting any special training, either onsite or offsite, provided the individual during implementation of the requalification program between July 20, and November 1, 1982.
If no special training was provided for the listed individuals, your submittal should state that fact. This information should be submitted under oath or affirmation within 60 days of the date of this letter.
