HUMBOLDT BAY POWER PLANT, UNIT 3 - EXEMPTION FROM THE REQUIREMENTS OF 10 CFR 50.54(w)(1), CONCERNING ONSITE PROPERTY DAMAGE INSURANCE (EPID L-2020-LLE-0005)

Dear Mr. Halpin:

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has approved the enclosed exemption from specific requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Section 50.54(w)(1) concerning onsite property damage insurance for Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E or the licensee). This action is in response to your letter dated January 13, 2020, requesting an exemption to reduce the minimum coverage limit from $63.16 million to $50 million for Humboldt Bay Power Plant, Unit 3. The exemption is effective immediately upon publication in the Federal Register.

A copy of the exemption is enclosed. The exemption has been forwarded to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
