General Atomics (GA) has a commitment to the U.S. Department I
of Energy (DOE) te supply one standard TRIGA instrumented fuel element to the Atomic Energy Commission of Zaire.
The U.S. DOE 1
is supplying this TRIGA fuel element to Zaire through the DOE's j
office of International Affairs Uranium " Gift" Program.
The j
special nuclear material in this TRIGA fuel element will be low
- enriched, i.e., 5 19.9% uranium.

Accordingly, GA hereby makes application, pursuant to 10 CFR I

110, for a license to export low enriched uranium in the forn of a TRIGA fuel element to Zaire for use in the Cren-K TRIGA Mark II research reactor operated by the Atomic Energy Commission of Zaire at the Universitaire De Kinshasa in Kinshasa Xi.
Enclosed is Form NRC-7 giving specific details in support of this request.
