PALO VERDE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION DIAGNOSTIC EVALUATION TEAM REPORT Enclosed for your information is a copy of the AEOD Diagnostic Evaluation Team Report for the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station (PVNGS).
This evaluation was initiated following discussions held during the NRC Senior Managers Meeting in May 1989.
The need for a diagnostic evaluation was based on questions related to the underlying causes of performance trends at the PVNGS.
The report documents the team's findings and conclusions, and includes a discussion of licensee strengths and weaknesses.
Follow-up staff actions resulting from the PVNGS Diagnostic Evaluation have already been forwarded to the appropriate NRC Regional or Headquarters offices.
