' MONTH:

February 1990-e McGuire Unit 2 began the month of February operating at 100% full power'.

L The unit operated at or near 100% full power until 1720 on 02/04, when a power reduction occured due to turbine governor valve cycling as a result of control card failure.

The unit stabilized at 73% power.

The j

unit began a power increase to 85% power at 1945 on 02/04 after removal of the control card. Upon completion of governor valve repairs, the unit commenced a power increase to 100% full power at 2321 on 02/04.

The unit. reached 1006 full power at 0248 on 02/05.

The unit then operated at or near 100% full power until 1136.on 02/13, when a turbine runback to 50% power occured due to loss of feedwater pump

'A'.

Following,a power increase to 70% power at 2251 on 02/13, the unit held power at 0010 on 02/14 to investigate feedwater pump 'A' problems.

The-unit then reduced power to 50% power at 0908 on 02/14 to repair feed-water pump

'A'.

At 2134 on 02/14, the unit began a power increase to 100% full power following repair of a clogged orifice on the overspeed trip mechanism on feedwater pump

'A'.

The unit reached 100% full power c.

at 1037.on 02/15, and operated at or near 100% full power for the remainder of the month.
