7590-01 UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION DETROIT EDISON COMPANY DOCKET NO. 50-341-NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL OF APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has granted a request by Detroit Edison Company (DECO) (the licensee) to withdraw its June 29, 1988, application for proposed amendment to Facility Operating License No. NPF-43, for the Fermi-2 facility located in Frenchtown Township, Monroe County, Michigan.
The proposed amendment would have revised the facility technical specifications pertaining to provisions to reset instrument channels and/or trip systems, and to remove requirements to place channels and/or trip systems in the tripped condition under certain circumstances.
The Commission has previously issued a Notice of Consideration of Issuance' of Amendment published in the FEDERAL REGISTER on September 12, 1988 (53 FR 35242).
However, the licensee subsequently verbally withdrew the proposed-j change. Thus, the amendment application is considered to be withdrawn by the
