' A Nuclear Regulatory Consission (NRC) team inspected the Browns Ferry Unit 2

.

(BFN-2)facilityonDecember 4 - 8, 1989. During the inspection, the team

reviewed the adequacy of the implementation of the electrical issues program.

The NRC team found that the implementation program at BFN-2, in general, neets '

the requirements of the program plan.

However, the team identified several

items that TVA needs to address.

,

The enclosed inspection report details the scope, objectives and findings of

the NRC inspection and identifies the areas examined during the inspection

!

(Enclosure 1). Your response to open items is requested within 30 days of

receipt of this letter.

The response directed by this letter and its enclosure are not subject to the

clearance procedures of the Office of Management and Budget as required by The

Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980, PL 86-511.
