1989 ANNUAL STEAM GENERATOR INSERVICE INSPECTION REPORT EDDY CURRENT EXAMINATION During 1989 the steam generator tubes were examined once.

This examination occurred during the May refueling outage.

Tubes in "A",

"B",

and "C"

steam generators were examined during the outage.-

The material that follows presents the results of the examinations.

These results include the number and extent of the tubes examiaed, the location and percent of wall-thickness penetration for each indication ofJ an imperfection, and the identification of the tubes that were plugged. is a~ Glossary of Terms, f

SUMMARY

'In "A"

Steam Generator there were 3074 tube examinations from the-inlet side.

This'is approximately 100 percent of the available-tubes.

These tubes were examined full length (tubesheet-to-tubesheet). = Supplemental examinations were also ' performed using Rotating Pancake,

8x1, and Profilometry probes where - additional confirmatory or other data was t

. desired.

The tubes examined were found to have no indications that are less'than 20% through wall, fifteen indications that are between 20% and 40%-through wall, and.six indications-greater than 40% through wall.

. Thirty-nine tubes were plugged.

SUMMARY

In "B"

Steam Generator there-were 3171 tube examinations'from the inlet side.

This is approximately 100 percent of the available tubes.

These tubes were examined full length (tubesheet-to-t ubesheet).

Supplemental examinations were also performed using Rotating Pancake, 8 x 1, and Profilometry probes where additional confirmatory or other data was desired.

The tubes examined were found to have a total of two indications that are less than 20% through wall, 663 indications that are between 20% and 40% through wall, and thirteen. indications greater than 40% through wall.

Fifty-two tubes were plugged.

SUMMARY

In "C" Steam Generator there were 3008 tube examinations from the inlet side.

This is approximately 100 percent of the available tubes.

These tubes were examined full length (tubesheet-to-tubesheet).

Supplemental examinationa were also performed using Rotating Pancake,

0x1, and Profilometry probes where additional confirmatory or other data was desired.

The tubes examined were found to have a total of six indications that are less than 20% through wall, 153 indications that are between 20% and 40% through wall and four indications greetar than 40%

through wall.

Sixty-five tubes were plugged.

This examination occurred during the February refueling outage.

Tubes in "A",

"B",

and "C"

steam generators were examined during the outage.

The material that follows presents the results of the examinations.

These results include the number and extent of the tubes examined, the location and percent of wall-thickness penetration for each indication of an imperfection, and the identification of the tubes that were plugged.

The tubes examined were found to have a total of three indications that are less than 20% through wall, and forty indications that are between 20% and 40% through wall.

No tubes were found to have indications greater than 40% through wall.
