C-Your Honorable Judge Peter B. Bloch:
I
' /
I learned of Rocketdyne's need to renew their nuclear licence through the investigating reports by the Daily News, San Fernando Valley, California.
The newspaper has been covering this story since May 1989. Briefly the paper states that a DOE survey of the nuclear facility in 1988 found toxic chemical and radioactive contamination in the environment.
I live in the San Fernando Valley, less than 10 miles from the Santa Susana Field Laboratory in Elmi.
My family and I will no longer be drinking tap water due to the underground water contamination.
We have no choice but to breathe the air.
These nuclear material are highly toxic cancer causing pollutants t
which threaten the Health and safety of over a half million people in the surrounding communites and millions more along the transportation corridors leading to and from the site, I feel in light of this and possible other discoveries regarding i
l environmental degradation Rockwell International has been irresponsible with their nuclear testing and disposing of waste.
l Therefore, the NRC should not renew the special nuclear material licenses SNHL %21.
Sincerely, 1
Le g?bL6F' Bertha Gruenberg, Concerned Citizen W
