This letter transmits the routine resident safety inspection by Messrs.
T. Kenny, L. Scholl, and Ms. M. Evans from November 21 - December 31, 1989 at
the Limerick Generating Station, Limerick, Pennsylvania. The inspection
consisted of document reviews, interviews, and observations of activities.
The results have been discussed with Mr. Graham Leitch and Mr. Martin
McCormick, Jr. , of your staf f.
During this inspection period, we continued to note strong site management
ove.rsight of startup testing activities and routine operations. Also, we found

your root cause analysis of events to be thorough, resulting in an effective

corrective action program.
No violations were identified by NRC during this inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosures
