Subject: NRC Inspection Report No. 50-353/89-32
A special team inspection of selected TMI Action Plan Requirements (Post
Accident Sampling Systems PASS) was conducted on December 11-15, 1989 at the
Limerick 2 station by Mr. T. Dragoun. Areas examined during this inspection are
described in the enclosed inspection report.
Within the areas examined, perfcrmance was determined to be generally
satisfactory. However, some items were identified which require improvement. You
are requested to review the recommendations in the enclosed report and respond
within 60 days of the date of this letter on actions planned or taken in regards
to these items.
During the course of this inspection an apparent violation of the control of
SpecialNuclearMaterialwasidentifIedasdescribedinAppendixA.Youare
required to respond to this finding by following the instructions included in
Appendix A.
The responses to this letter are not subject to the clearance procedures of the
Office of Management and Budget as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of
1980, PL 96 511.
