Completion of Plant Hodifications Associated with,
SSER 8 Confirmatory Issue No. 61 1
Gentlemen:
Safety Evaluation Report, Supplement No. 8 (SSER 8) for Seabrook Stttion reflected New Hampshire Yankee's (NHY) commitment to expedite the implementation of the design change associated with Confirmatory Issue No. 61.
t This. design change, which NHY previously described in Reference (c), adds an
-additional check valve in series with each of the four existing check valves which provide isolation at the Containment Building Spray System / Residual Heat Removal System interfaces.
The plant modifications associated with l
Confirmatory Issue No. 61 have been completed. The completion of Confirmatory l-Itsue No. 61 was in advance of the previously accepted schedule (prio; to atartup from the first refueling outage).
New Hampshire Yankee previously submitted changes to Revision 1 of the Inservico Test Program (IST) in Reference (d).
