This auendment is heing made under protest because the concerns expressed in our 5/18/81 letter have not yet been resolved despite extensive conversations with the NRC staff and attorneys.
In addition, we draw your attention to the fact that, as our attorney has discussed with you, a licensee response to an inspection / conducted after the one in Wilmington) was accepted without the required oath.
General Electric also understands that the proposed policy requiring oaths is currently under review by the Commission and that it will be eliminated or extensively modified in the near future.
Accordingly, as requested in Appendix A of the 3/20/81 inspection report, consider the General Electric response dated 4/14/81 amended to include the following oath:
