J. P. Jaudon and L. J. Callan of our staff during the period August 3-7 and 18-20,1981, of i activities authorized by NRC Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-51 and NPF-6 for Arkansas Nuclear One, Units 1 and 2, and to the discussion of our findings by the inspectors with Mr. J. P. O'Hanlon and other members of your staff on August 11, 1981 and with Messrs. M. Pendergrass and D. Norton on August 20, 1981. ! Areas examined during the inspection and our findings are discussed in the enclosed inspectien report. Within these areas, the inspection con- sisted of selective examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspectors. ' Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were l identified. One new unresolved item is discussed in paragraph 2 of the enclosed report. In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC's
