wegg This is to infom the Commission that a Notice of Violation and a' Notice of Proposed Imposition of Civil Penalties in the amount of Forty Thousar,d, Dollars.
will be issued on or about September 24,1981 to Public Service Electri,c an,d' Gas Company of flewark, New Jersey. This action is based on apparent items of non-ccmpliance at the Salem facility which demonstrated inadequacies in the manage-ment of the licensee's physical secu'rity program.
These items concecaed the abuse of the licensee's photobadge system by the site security force.
A news release has been prepared and will be issued about the time the licensee receives the Notice. The State of New Jersey will be notified.
It should be noted that the licensee has not been specifically informed of the enforcement action. The schedule of issuance and notification is:
