Enclosed are copies of the following Staff testimony, which pertains to issues scheduled to be litigated in the captioned proceeding during the week of October 5-9, 1981:
l (1) HRC Staff Testimony of Charles H. Ferrell and Leonard Soffer Regarding Populatic. Density Projections (Bishop Contention 1),

(2) liRC Staff Testiuony of Harvin W. (Wayne) llodges on Doherty Contention 388.
Also enclosed is a letter recently sent by the Staff to the Applicant requesting additional information reqarding the ATWS issue.* As that letter indicates, the Staff has requested tnat the PSAR be updated (in light of the techical resolution of the ATWS issue) to deaonstrate that implementation cf the technical resolution would not be constrained by the preliminary design of the Allens Creek facility.
