Core Themal Hydraulics As a result of our review of your application for operatino licenses we find that we need additional infomation regardino the SNUPPS FSAR. The snecific infomation required is as a result of the Core Perfomance Rranch review and is listed in the Enclosure.
To maintain our licensing review schedule for the SNUPPS FSAR. we will need a response to the enclosed request by August 31, 1981.
If you cannot meet this date, olease'infom us within seven days after receipt of this letter of the date you plan to submit your responses so that we m3y review our schedule for any necessary changes.

Are the analyses presented in Section 4.4 representative of the initial core only or have future cycles been analyzed? Provide a discussion of how power distributions for future cycles are considered in the FSAR analyses.
Is there any assurance that the Callaway Units cah-operate at tne licensed power le<el without excessive DNB trips tnroughout future cycles? Will revisions to the design methodology be required in order to maintain sufficient thB'rmal margin?
