Dear Mr. Madsen:
This letter is to provide an update on the investigation of the nonconforming Rockbestos cable which was delivered to the Wolf Creek Generating Station site as described in the Referenced Report.
The 130,000 feet of cable has been installed in nonsafety related locations or is on hold in the reel yard. None of the cable has been installed in safety related service. All of the affected cable is identified on Deficiency Reports and will be controlled by these documents pending final engineering disposition. Currer:tly, representative sample specimens are being collected for retesting.
When the retest results become available, our Architect /Eagineer will issue the final engineering disposition. The results of this investigation and retesting program will be reported to your of fice on or before November 20, 1981.
