Dear Mr. Grier:
The following information updates our response to IE Bulletin 79-27. " Loss of Non-class-1-E Instrumentation and Control Power System Bus During Operation."
4 This letter supplements our previous response in PLA-632 dated February 13, 1981 and PLA-820 dated June 1, 1981.
PP&L has identified the power sources for all the instrumentation in the main control room sorted by panel and power supply, including those instruments and controls required to attain cold shutdow-Existing preliminarv emergency operating procedures already identif*;. approximately 90% of all I&C devices to attain cold shutdown.
Remaining work involves identification of those power busses required for I&C outside the control room and to determine if either equipment changes or procedural changes are needed.
Expectet completion date for determining equipment changes (if any) is October 15, 1981. Expected c mpletion date for determining procedural sp' !I I
