This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. J. R. Mullauer of this office on August 20, It31, of activities authorized by NRC Byproduct Material Licenses No. 12-02497-01 and No. 12-02497-02 and to the discussion of our findiags with Mr. Fred Agase at the conclusion of the inspection and a subsequent telephone conversation with vou ca August 21, 1981.
The inspection was an examination of activities conducted under your license as they relate to radiation safety and to compliance with the Commission's rules and regulations and with the conditions of your license.
he inspec-tion consisted of a selective examination of procedures and representative records, observations, independent measurements, and interviews with personnel.
During this inspection, certain of your activities appeared to be in non-I compliance with NRC requirements, as specified in enclosed Appendix A.
A written response, submitted under oath or affirmation, is required.
