Thank you for your letter dated July 24, 1981, in response to our letter of
June 24, 1981, reporting the results of our inspection on May 5-7, 1981, as
detailed in Inspection Report No. 50-483/81-10.
It is our understanding from dicussions betwecn Mr. R. C. Knop and

Mr. J. V. Laux on July 24, 1981, and between Mr. J. D. Smith and
'
Mr. J. V. Laux on August 7, 1971, that the majority of the items in the
Notice of Violation forwarded by our letter of June 24, 1981, have been

corrected.

You are requested, within one week of receipt of this letter, to formally
submit the details of these corrective actions as required by the Notice of
Violation.
In addition, please describe your plans for reorganizing your
inspection program and your schedule for completing the reorganization so we
can establish a realistic extension for your response to those Notice of
!
Violation items so affected.
