~Y ENFCRCEMENT Re: Docket No. 50-275 Diablo Canyon Unit 1
Dear Mr. Engelken:
Our letter to you dated April 3, 1981 indicated that the final report on the surveillance and testing of mechanical snubbers for use with safety-related systens would be provided by June 30, 1981.
Inspection and stroking of mechanical snubbers on Unit 1 began on February 2, 1981 and, to date, in excess of 95% have been inspected and tested. The renalning safety-related snubbers, primarily tLase in the Containment and the Auxiliary Building, will be inspected and tested prior to fuel loading. Our final report will be subnitted within 30 days of canpletion of this work, as required by IE Bulletin 81-01.
