Docket No. 50-322

Dear Mr. Latham:

This is in reply to your letter to me dated July 31, 1981, concerning the location foi the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) subcommittee teeting for the Shoreham Nuclear Station.

Your letter references my letter to the Shoreham " service list" dated June 22, 1981.

In that letter I advised that the location for the ACRS subcomnittee meeting in question, originally scheduled for July 21, 1981, had been relocated from the lloliday Inn in Riverhead, New York to Washington, D.C.

Your recent letter requested that the meating be relocated back to the Holiday Inn in Riverhead, New York.

However, yocr letter did not reference my subsequent letter to the service list dated Jujy 14, 1981, advising that the July 21, 1981, ACRS subcox)ittee meeting had been indefinitely postponed.

My letters regarding the ACRS subconmittee meeting were sent as a courtesy to you and the other parties in this proceeding. The NRC Staff does not detemine the location of ACRS meetings. That decision is made by the ACRS.

Accordingly, by copy of this letter I am forwarding your request directly to Pr. Raymond F. Fraley, Executive Director of the ACRS.

Sincerely, i

i i
