s y, Gentlemen:

{#

We have been property owners here for eleven years.

Our children and our grandchildren live here, also.

We love our home and San Luis Obispo and we would never want to be forced to leave this area.

We believe that our security and our peace of mind are being threatened by the proposed licensing of the Diablo Canyon Nuclec plant.

My son was living in Reading, Pen-nsylvania at the time of the nuclear accident at the Three-Mile Island plant.

To avoid the very real dcnger of radia-tion fallout, he sent his wife and two small children to California.

Ironically, now that the family has relocated in San Luis Obispo, they face the same type of danger that existed in Reading.

The location of the Diablo Canyon plant--three miles from the Hosgri Fault--poses a very real threat to inhabitants of this immediate area.

Evacuation plans are at best in-adequate and at worst, impossible.

Nuclear waste disposal problems have not been satisfactorily solved.

We feel sure that granting a low-power license to the Diablo Canyon facility will inevitably lead to a full-power license.

We respectfully request that all licensing of the plant be denied and that consideration he given to converting it to non-nuclear generation of power.

,3 ; p.

Very sincerely you'rs, AW
