As a concerned citizen I am vitally concerned that the economic, ohy environmental, and social well-being of the State of California be maintained; and an adequate supply of energy is critical to meet these needs.
]S This nation's continued cverdependence on foreign oil has caused major adverse economic impacts, and the situation in the iliddle East must be considered a constcnt threat to cut national secur-ity.
l Regulatory delays in the planning and licensing of needed energy facilities are extremely costly to the consumer, damaging to the environment, and result in continued importation of foreign oil.
p03 Therefore, I support the immediate and expeditious licensing of 5
