I would like to thank you for your letter of June 9,1981.
In that letter you requested the Comission to consider you for replacement membership on the Advisory Panel for the Decontamination of Three Mile Island Unit 2.
At this time the Comission is in the process of evaluating the Panel's membership requirements.
In the near future we hope to appoint replace-ments to the Panel who will assure the sort of broad based input mentioned in your letter.
In this context I should note that I agree with you that representation by local citizens on the Panel is very important.
Please be assured that the Comi sion will give full consideration to your request to be appointed to the Panel. Thank you sgain for your interest in serving to facilitate the safe and expeditious cleanup of Three Mile Island Unit 2.
