G Gentlemen:
This refers to the exit interview between Mr. J. Taylor, Assistant General Manager, and others of your staff and Mr. C. J. Paperiello, Chief, Emergency Preparedness and Program Support Branch, and others of the NRC staff during the management exit interview held on July 24, 1981. Based on these discuss-lons, we understand the following emergency preparedness improvements will be made by the dates indicated.
1.
The meteorological temperature difference display in the control room will be repaired by July 31, 1981.
2.
A carrelation will be developed by August 15, 1981, to relate containment dome monitor readings and the quantity of radioactive material released to the containment atmosphere.
Emergency Action Levels based on dome monitor readings will be developed to classify accidents.
3.
The existing procedure for offsite doses will be revised by July 31, 1981, to project actual and potential offsite doses for both ground level and elevated releases.
If our understanding of your planned actions, described above, are not in accordance with the actual plans and action being implemented, please contact this office immediately.
