As part of our review for an operating license for ifaterford 3, please provide confirmation within 30 days after receipt of this letter that a prompt notification systoa will be insMled including a schedule for installation, a description of the system, and a description or listing of the problems that ciay nihder impl eaentation. Your verification that a public notification syste.n meeting the regulations is in place is required prior to issuance of a license for power operation. We expect that the Federal Energency !*.anagenent Agency will x

review the adequacy of the systen by evaluating the results of an actual system test, probably during the joint exercise of your facility with offsite authorities.
