Nuclear Regulatory Cor.aission (the Corsaission) has issued Anend-ment no. 6 to* Facility Operating License No. DPR-77, issued to Tennessee Valley Authority (licensee) for the Sequoyah duclear Plant, Unit 1 (the facility) located in Hamilton County, Tennessee. This amenonent updates technical specif1 cations 3.7.5 and 1.7.5 to reflect design changes resulting from the implementation of the new Essential Raw Cooling ilater (ERCW) pumping station.
This amendnent also increases the ultim2te heat sink temperature f ron Al degrees F to 83 uegrees F.
The application for the acends:ent complies with the standaros and require-cents of the Ato:nic Energy Act of 1954, as ai; ended (the Act), and the Comis-sion's regulations. The Comission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act e 'd the Ccaaission's rejulations in 10 CFR Chapter 1, which are set fortn in the license agendc.ent. Prier public notice af this anendnent was not required since the anen&mnt does not involve a significant hazards consider-ation.
Toe Corriission has aetermined that the issuance of this amendment will not result in any significant environnental inpact anc that pursuant to 10 CFR 551.5 (d)(4) an envirorrental impact statement, or negative declaration and environ-nental ie;iact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of this anendnent.
