SNM-2016 License Termination Request Date:
Thursday, January 02, 2020 3:28:00 PM Hi, Mr. Korbly!
Thanks for returning my call today! It was a pleasure to briefly discuss your license termination request.
As stated during the call, I am the project manager and reviewer for your October 16, 2019, request to terminate special nuclear materials license 2016 (SNM-2016) for Passport Systems, Inc. (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS]
Accession Number ML19290E196).
In order to complete the review of your request, I would like to clarify the information Passport provided in its request regarding the quantities of depleted uranium that Passport will still maintain. In the last paragraph of the request Passport stated that it still maintains quantities of depleted uranium (DU) held under MA Radioactive Materials License No 55-0585." In conducting the review of this Agreement State license, I noted that DU is not listed as an authorized material. Therefore, I would like to clarify why the DU is not listed there. Any additional information you can provide regarding this matter will be highly appreciated.
Thank you so much for your time and attention to this issue!
