Dear Mr. Keppler:
INTERIM 10CFR50. 55 (e)/10CFR21-REPORT NO. U-25 CALLAWAY PLANT UNIT 1 The. purpose of this letter is to update the reference report and the interim report, dated March 2, 1981 concerning weld discrepancies in the Main Control Panels and Auxiliary Relay Racks furnished to Callaway Unit 1 by Comsip Customline Corporation.
The planned inspection and measurement of the panel and rack welds have been completed and the results are presently being evaluated by the panel designer and by the architect-engineer.
-Preliminary results _of these evaluations appear to confirm - the adequacy of the panel and rack welds.
'We presently anticipate the evaluation will be complete on or about November 30, 1981.
A report summarizing the results'of the inspections and evaluation will be forwarded to the NRC shortly thereafter.
