UPDATE - EXPANSION OF PREVIOUSLY AUTHORIZED ASME WELDIN

By letter dated July 3,1981, Houston Lighting and Power Company (HL U
has requested an expansion of the previously authorized ASME safety-re welding. The request for expansion of the ASME welding and related activi 1 is to be specifically in accordance with a 12 Week Work Plan covering two new areas and will include both stainless and carbon steel.
Based on Region IV inspector evaluation of the present ASME welding activities, the expansion of the ASME welding as defined in the 12 Week Work Plan (Attachment to HL&P letter, dated July 3,1981) is being allowed, as requested by HL&P.
A press release will not be made by HL&P or RIV.
