Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 Notification of Change to Protected Area Our letter dated March 26, 1981 reported a tmporary change to the perimeter of the protected area due to the construction activities for the fire protection alternate water supply tank. The construction of this tank will require nore area than previously anticipated and the perineter of the protected area will be nodified to ammdiate this additional space. The attached drawing (revision 6A) shows the new location of the protected area fence.
This modification constitutes a temporary change to the Oyster Creek Physical Security Plan and, as such, the change has been made in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(p) in that it does nat dinunish the safeguard effectiveness of the Security Plan. The change decreases the isolation zone fran twenty l
(20) feet to fifteen (15) feet for a 6istance of about forty-seven feet.
The fence is alarmed and will be surveilled by guard patrol. This fence will be surrounded by another fence when no construction work is being accmplished. This other fence is protected by two intrusion alarm syr.tems.

Upon cmpletion of this construction, notification that the protected area perimeter will return to its original state will be forwarded to your office.
Since the Security Plan contains informatian, which, if released to the public, would cmpranise the physical security of the Oyster Creek Station, it is requested pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790 that this document be withheld fran l
public disclosure.
