NRC Docket No. 50-482 Ref: Letter KMLNRC 81-062 dated 2/27/81 from GLKoester, KG&E, to WCSeidle, NRC Subj: Interim 50.55(e) Report - Nonconforming Welds in Main Control Panels
Dear Mr. Madsen:
The purpose of this letter is to update the Referenced Report concerning weld discrepancies in the Main Control Panels ar.d Auxiliary Relay Racks furnished to Wolf Creek Generating Station site by Comsip Customline Corporation.
The seismic testing effort has been completed and the results of the inspection program of the as-welded panels at Wolf Creek have been for-warded to the Architect / Engineer for evaluation and disposition. As indicated in the Referenced Report, we anticipated that their effort would be completed on or about July 1,1981.
However, due to the quartity of data being evaluated, the Architect / Engineer now estimates that the evaluation report will not be completed until November 1981. A report su=marizing the result of this evaluation will be forwarda to the NRC shortly thereafter.
