Letter KMLNRC-035 dated 10/30/80 from GLKoester, KGE, to KVSeyfrit, NRC Sub): Interim 50.55(e) Report - Undersized Socket Welds
Dear Mr. Madsen:
The purpose of this letter is to update the Referenced Report con-cerning the undersized socket welds found in Wolf Creek piping.
The Daniel Correction Action Report issued on 9/30/80 (CAR #1-M-007) is being used to track the completion of the corrective actions listed in the Referenced Report.
As indicated in the Referenced Report, we had expect 1d that all actions would be completed by July 1, 1981. However, due to the quantity of welds involved, all actions will not be completed until December 30, 1981, at which time we will submit a final report.
In the interim, please direct any questions on this matter to me or Mr. Gene Rathbun of my staff.
