Dear Chairman Hendrie:

This is a follow-up of our telephone conversation of June 22, 1981, concerning your Early Warning System at the Brunswick Nuclear Power Plant, Southport, North Carolina.

I be,1ieve that,'"I_fuplained to you in our conver-sation that due to the evacuation route we now have to take, we would not be going away fro = a disaster, but into the center of it.

I believe that if the Nuclear Regulatory Co= mission is so concerned about the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens around the nuclear facility, they should look at each situation individually and take the appropriate measures that the particular situation calls for.

Thanking you in advance for the investigation that you said your depart::ient would make concerning our problem.

Respectfully, CM
