Tne statements in this affidavit summarize the similarities between McGuire Station Unit 1 and the Sequoyah iluclear Plant, Unit 1,-with respect-t'o interim nydrogen control.

The similarities are for the most part reflected throughout.the transcript.

The design of the ice condenser containment systems at Sequoyah Unit I and McGuire Unit 1 are very similar. The principal differences in these systems which relate to hydrogen control questions are that the McGuire containment i

is somewhat thicker; and the McGuire system uses more. igniters. Other
- differences, such as specific subcompartment configuration and volumes, specific flow rates,ar various systems, and the specific design-details of the igniter are small and are not significant for purposes of assessment of the performance of the mitigation systems.
In addition, in conducting the review and assessment of the adequacy of the McGuire hydrogen control system, the NRC Staff used the conditions imposed by the Commission in connection witn the Sequoyah distributed ignition system as guidance.
