Dear Sir:

The University of 11issouri Research Reactor 's plannin on three spent fuel shipments during flovember and December. On 6 tiovember Sunday, we plan on making our first spent fuel shipment. T e second spent fuel ship-ment date will depend upon cask turnaround time from Savannah River Plant.

Our third spent fuel shipment is tentatively scheduled for the first part of December. Exact dates for our second and third spent fuel shipments will be determined as soon as possible and I will inform you of our schedule.

The route to be used for our spent fuel shipment is that approved by your office (letter to our facility dated October 25, 1979 by George W.

McCo rkl e) . As per NUREG-0561 Rev.1, a verification of selected local law enforcement agencies' telephone numbers and contacts has been made by our facili ty. Please make the following change to page 18 of MURR Spent Fuel Route Survey. Phone number for Spartanburg should be 803-582-6791 for non-emergency and 911 for emergency. The phone number listed (803-582-4771) is for administrative personnel .
