Gentlemen:
This refers to the meeting held at the NRC Region II Office on December 23, 1980
at our request. This meeting related to activities authorized by license numbers
DPR-52 and NPF-5 and was attended by members of the Region II staff and Mr.
T. Beckham and other memoers of your staff.
The subjects discussed at this meeting are included in the inspection report which
is enclosed with this letter.
It is our opinion that this meeting was beneficial.
It has provided a better
understanding of the engineering evaluation and the schedule for completion of
repairs to the backfill supporting the RHR and Service water pipes at the intake
structure.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of NRC's " Rules of Practice", Part 2, Title 10,
Code of Federal Regulation, a copy of this letter and the enclosed inspection
report will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
