Dear Mr. Eisenhut:

As requested by your staff, Carolina Power & Light Company (CP&L) hereby forwards clarifications to its commitments made in its December 15, 1980 letter concerning NUREG-0737, " Clarification of TMI Action Plan Requirements" items for the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant. Responses to issues raised by your staff are listed below:

1.

Item I.A.3.3 - Shift Manning CP&L's letter of February 26, 1981 provides the detailed clarification of CP&L's position on this item.

2.

Item I.C.6 - Verify Correct Performance of Operating Activities CP&L's letter of December 31, 1980 cont. tins the details of CP&L's planned implementation of this 1:em. These details will be implemented by March 31, 1981.
