Dear Mr. Keppler:
IE Bulletin No.79-03A As discussed in our September 8 letter, we submit the following additional information in response to IE Bulletin No.79-03A.
We have further e 1 ated the piping inside the reactor vessel which is fabricated from SA-312 or A-312 material. The comporents included are the RHR coupling elbow and extension, HPCS/LPCS core spray line, reactor in-core guide tube, jet pump riser, CRD mag housing, and the HPCS/LPCS core spray sparger.
After analysis by the NSSS vendor, it has been determined that all of the piping in question is subject to stress levels less than 85 percent of the Code allowable stresses at either design pressure / temperature or combined loadings for normal operating conditions. Therefore, the concerns and et'ch testing requirements of the bulletin are not applicable.
