This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. L. D. Gilbert of this office

during the period January 29 through February 2,1990, of activities authorized

by NRC Operating License NPF-38 for Waterford Steam Electric Station, Unit 3

and to the discussion of our findings with Mr. R. P. Barkhurst and other

members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.

During the inspection, we examined actions you have taken with regard to

previously identified inspection findings. The status of these items is

identified in paragraph 2 of the enclosed report.

Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were

identified.
