January 1990 Catawba Unit 1 began the month of January operating at 100% full power. The j
unit operated at or near 100% full power until 1830 on 01/26, when a power l
r decrease was commenced for entry into End-of-Cycle "4" refuelihg outage.
The unit was taken off-line at 0411 on 01/27. The unit ended the month shutdown for the refueling outage.

SUMMARY
-r Month:
January 1990 Catawba Unit 2 began the month of January operating at'40% power per dispatcher request. The unit began a power increase at 0930 on 01/01 per dispatcher request. The unit reached 97% power at 1750 on'01/01. This unit is limited to 97% power due to main feedwater control valve position. At 0835 on 01/04, the unit began a power decrease to take the unit off-line for repair of steam generator "2B" blowdown inside containment isolation valve. The generator was taken off-line at 1827 on 01/04. The unit was placed on-line at 0445 on 01/07, and a power increase was commenced. The unit reached 97% power at 0200 on 01/08, and operated at this power level for the remainder of the month.
